OUR COMIC JOURNEY
Blockheads is more than a comic book.
It is a collection of stories inspired by struggle, bad decisions, redemption, humor, growth, and transformation.
Created inside a maximum-security prison, Blockheads uses entertaining comic strips and graphic mini stories to challenge destructive thinking while encouraging better choices.
Every page reflects a simple belief:
The same blocks that break us can also build us.
Whether you've battled addiction, violence, prison, poverty, or simply your own doubts, you'll discover characters who face the same obstacles many of us encounter every day.
Blockheads isn't about pretending life is easy.
It's about proving change is possible.
Meet the Creator
James Lee
James Lee created Blockheads while serving a prison sentence.
Rather than allowing his circumstances to define him, he chose to rebuild his life through education, faith, service, and creativity.
While incarcerated, James earned his bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies through Hannibal–LaGrange University's Freedom On the Inside Program, became a field minister, and devoted himself to helping others transform their lives.
In 2022, he created Blockheads to reach people through humor, storytelling, and authentic life experiences.
